This year we opted to go in the afternoon so we could witness the Hot Air Balloon Nightglow and fireworks.

Kian dreams of becoming a pilot one day. The festival featured several model planes that he wanted to take home to add to his collection.
Spent the afternoon just lying down on the field and watching the planes and kites in the air, and Julia's version of planking.
I was a bit disappointed though because I thought the Nightglow would feature the balloons taking flight.

It was not that jaw-dropping as the last time we were there, but nevertheless, the time spent with the kids is simply priceless.
