1. Hot Air Balloon Festival (February)
2. Philippine International Pyromusical Competition (March)
For April, well it wasn't really a getaway since we stayed in Manila. But it turned out be great still. (Plus, towards the end of the month, Julia had a nasty cut on her forehead that required stitches. So we couldn't really go anywhere.)
During the Holy Week, the family checked in at Acacia Hotel in Alabang. We really got a good promo for 2 rooms; which were nice and clean, the staff were accommodating (Since hotel food was quite expensive, they allowed us to bring in food from McDonald's and Jollibee from across the street for the kids. Some hotels don't actually allow that especially in large quantities.) Although the pool was quite small, the kids really didn't mind having the "Staycation" as long as there was a pool.
We then spent Saturday afternoon in my cousin's house for more pool time for the kids, and some double black for me. (Kian and Julia wnet home with a couple of turtles from my cousin-in-law.)
Easter was spent in our village, where Kian and Julia got some fishes as their prize. At first I really didn't like have pets in the house; first turtles and now fishes. But look now, I even bought a bigger tank for the turtles, had to buy a larger aquarium for the fishes. (Kian wanted sharks). I am now at that stage where I even make sure that they are fed each day.
That's what I get from this Staycation.
